The science of touch

At Northwestern, I researched in a neuroscience and robotics laboratory.

We worked with a touchscreen that could stimulate the skin on the fingertip to create the feeling of different textures.

My research focused on replicating the feeling of natural resonance by leveraging broadband haptic playback on the fingertip.

The graph here shows measurements I recorded and signals I processed of steel resonance.

My mentor and I developed a large scale prototype of the technology.

The following video, which features our prototype, was submitted with a paper to an HCI conference.
